The Loyola Literacy Programme (LLP) is an outreach initiative of Loyola Degree College that focuses on spreading the light of education to underprivileged schools and villages. Through literacy drives, teaching support, awareness programs, and community-based learning, LLP empowers children and adults with the basic skills of reading, writing, and understanding.
The programme not only addresses academic literacy but also fosters social awareness, life skills, and value-based education. By involving students and faculty in this mission, Loyola builds a bridge between the college and society, nurturing compassionate leaders who serve the marginalized and promote inclusive growth.
Vision:
To eradicate illiteracy and empower marginalized communities through education, fostering dignity, equality, and opportunities for all.
Mission:
• To extend educational support to schools and villages through literacy campaigns.
• To engage students and faculty in teaching, mentoring, and awareness activities.
• To promote functional literacy that enhances livelihoods and social participation.
