National Festivals – Loyola Degree College (LDC)

Loyola Degree College celebrates national festivals with enthusiasm, patriotism, and a sense of civic responsibility. These celebrations help students appreciate the values of democracy, freedom, unity, and social responsibility while fostering national pride and awareness.

Major National Festivals Celebrated at LDC
• Independence Day (15th August) – Commemorating India’s freedom with flag hoisting, patriotic programs, speeches, and cultural events.
• Republic Day (26th January) – Celebrating the adoption of the Indian Constitution with parades, patriotic songs, and educational programs on civic duties.
• Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October) – Honoring the birth of Mahatma Gandhi with tributes, awareness campaigns, and reflection on peace, non-violence, and ethical leadership.
• National Youth Day (12th January) – Observing the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda to inspire youth leadership, character building, and social service.
• National Science Day (28th February) – Promoting scientific awareness, innovation, and critical thinking among students.
• Other Important Observances – International Literacy Day, Environment Day, Women’s Day, and other awareness days aligned with national development and social responsibility.

Through these celebrations, Loyola encourages students to embrace citizenship values, social responsibility, and patriotism, nurturing responsible leaders who contribute to the nation’s progress.
