Step into Loyola Degree College, a campus that breathes life, learning, and greenery across 132 sprawling acres. Shared with the Polytechnic College, our campus is a blend of modern infrastructure and natural beauty, enriched by over 100 species of trees. Students fondly call it a “green paradise”, where every corner inspires growth and discovery.
The campus is uniquely divided into “Vanams” (gardens) such as Asoka Vanam (dedicated for girls, with its own gym), Thapo Vanam, Brundavanam, and Sundaravanam. These open, serene spaces make learning more refreshing and meaningful.
Loyola’s vibrant academic and co-curricular life is supported by seven major blocks, each designed for holistic learning:
Xavier Block – A hub of sciences with state-of-the-art laboratories in Botany, Biotechnology, Zoology, Computer Science, Physics, and Chemistry. It also houses the Yoga Centre, Discussion Hall, AV Room, Conference Hall, Loyola Canteen, and Boys’ Gym.
Jubilee Block – Well-equipped classrooms, Language Labs, and E-Commerce Labs.
Degree College Round Block – The heart of administration with staff rooms, Vice Principal’s office, coordinators’ offices, Examination Centre, Girls’ Waiting Room, and classrooms.
Old Library Block – A quiet corner hosting the Physical Education Office, NCC Office, Prayer Room, and Guest Rooms.
Library Block – Divya Sadan – Our treasure of knowledge with 42,000+ books, journals, INFLIBNET access, and Wi-Fi.
Administrative Block – Home to the Principal’s Office, College Office, IQAC Centre, Examination Hall, and Council Room.
Loyola Skill Centre – A creative hub with Tailoring Centre, Fashion Club, Arts Club, and Life Sciences Innovation Club.
Adding to this, the Multipurpose Centre with three open-air halls and the Mushroom Cultivation Centre (run by the Botany Department) enrich both academics and extracurricular learning.
