Unit – III: Measuring Instruments and Common Appliances

Theory:
- Use of multimeter, clamp meter, and tester.
- Measurement of voltage, current, and resistance.
- Working principle of iron, fan, mixer, grinder, and heater.
- Maintenance and fault detection.

Practical:
- Appliance testing, dismantling, and assembling of fan or mixer.

Unit – IV: Electronic Devices and Circuits

Theory:
- Basics of semiconductors – diodes, transistors, ICs.
- Rectifiers, amplifiers, and power supply units.
- LED bulbs, mobile chargers, emergency lights, TV, and inverter.

Practical:
- Soldering, LED circuit assembly, and charger repair.

Unit – V: Energy Conservation, Smart Devices, and Project Work

Theory:
- Energy efficiency and star rating concepts.
- Solar power systems – panels, batteries, and inverters.
- Smart home appliances (IoT-based control).

Practical / Project:
- Mini Project on LED lamp, solar lighting, or fault detection.
- Viva and practical evaluation.
