We, the Loyola Fathers, were invited in 1993 by then Member of Parliament – present Chief Minister Sri. Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy to take over the Degree and Polytechnic Colleges. We wanted to administer these institutions for five years on an experimental basis. At that time, since we didn‟t have our own residence, we were staying in St.Ann‟s School Campus. We found it difficult to pay attention to the developmental work. Since the electricity supply was erratic, by the time we come by vehicle to switch on the motor,

HISTORY

Loyola Degree College (YSRR), Pulivendla

This college was founded by Sri. Y.S. Raja Reddy Educational Trust in 1979 and was affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University. Late Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri. Y. S. Raja Sekhara Reddy (Alumni of Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada) approached Loyola (Jesuit) Fathers in 1993 to take over the institution. From 1993 to 1998, the college was administered by the Jesuits on an experimental basis. Then they decided to take over the institution.
