YVU Inter collegiate Tournaments: 2012 -13

In Sep’2012, G. Prasanna, I B.A (HEP) has won the first prize in the 2nd Junior Inter District Softball championship at A.M Reddy College of Engineering & Technology Narasaraopet, Guntur Dt.
In the history of this college, for the first time we had University level Inter-collegiate Games Meet on 21st and 22nd September, 2012. After the inaugural function, Prof. A. Rama Chandra Reddy, Vice – Chancellor of YVU declared the games meet open. We had Volley ball, Kho-kho, Kabadi, Soft Ball, Basket Ball and tennicoit. Nearly 900students from 45 colleges took part. From our college 95 students participated in it.
Under the leadership of P. Varalakshmi, II MPS TM, our Ball badmitton team won the match. Under the leadership of M. Praveena, III B.Com EM our volley ball team became runners.

In January ’2013, G. Prasanna, II B.A (HEP) was selected for softball (women) team of Y.V.U. to participate all India inter university softball (women) tournament held at Guntur. She also went to Calcutta to participate inn senior level softball tournament.
Mr. T.Chandra Sekhar was selected for Y.V.U. inter university tournament for softball team.
Dept. of physical education conducted few recreation items for children’s day.
